Saturday Shuffle – February 18

So, how was everyone’s Valentine’s Day? We don’t do a whole heck of a lot for this holiday here. It’s too busy at the restaurants to really bother going out.

Other than the holiday, not a lot going on here. I am still sick. Mostly because Stinkerbell is sick and that means we aren’t sleeping. It’s like having a newborn again. Combine that with work and I’ll probably never get better.

Anyways…here is the weekly web roundup:

  • I didn’t watch the Grammy’s because I am ashamed of the way they have handled things regarding Chris Brown. However, I did catch this amazing performance by Adele on the internet and man, can that girl sing. She is amazing and deserves all of the 6 awards she won.
  • This is exactly why I think the Chris Brown situation should’ve been handled differently. How do you think stupidity like this makes battered women feel? Oh, and it isn’t like he is sorry.
  • Nanorobots made out of DNA seek and kill cancer. Welcome to the future of medicine.

Well, I enjoyed this week a lot. This next week will be nice too. It is teacher’s convention here so only a 2-day work week. Woohoo! Plus, since I substitute teach, I don’t have to go. My mom and I are going to check out the Home and Garden show instead and stay over in the city. I am sooooo looking forward to a full night of sleep. See you next weekend!

Amanda is a mom to two crazy kids (Stinkerbell, daughter, 2, and McQueen, son, 5). When not at home being driven nuts by her own kids she goes to work and tries to help other people's by teaching them high school math. She lives in Canada (she stays close to the computer for warmth most of the year) and has been married to her husband since 2007.
