About Us

We at A Nervous Tic Motion are a diverse group who know life isn’t always rainbows and unicorns. You may think we’re totally unprofessional. Some may call us mentally unstable. Really, we’re all big fish in a little pond! Oh wait – that’s not it. We’re all nuts. Well, shit…

But through it all, we’re finding the humor of the situation.

So, put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye. Welcome to the jungle! (And watch out for them piranhas.)

So Who Are We?

Elle

Elle Davis (@thisismommyhood) is the Founder and a writer for A Nervous Tic Motion. She’ll work for Godiva milk chocolate salted caramel bars. Elle’s a work at home mom just trying to keep her sanity and 3-year-old daughter, the little hummingbird, in one piece. She’s been married for over 16 years to a great guy that she can complain about on occasion. You can also find Elle on her personal blog, This is Mommyhood, at Yahoo! Shine, Blogher, What The Flicka? and on CafeMom.

Christene

Christene (@ChristeneDanca) is a mom to two very small and extremely hyper children, daughter Munchie, short for Munchkin, 19 months old, and son Ducky, 3 months old. She goes to work because she likes having something to do in the morning. She writes because she loves it. Oh, and she has 4 cats. Soon to be 5. Which is like having at least one more kid. You can find Christene at her personal blog, Confessions From The Crib.

CubicleViews

CubicleViews (@cubicleviews) is a middle-aged, married guy with kids who’s been in the show (that’s what the pros call the work world) for half his life. From junior positions to director positions and back to manager positions – a cube, to an office, back to a cube, back to an office and back to the cube where he writes today, CV is a “Repeat Offender.” After all… he’s just a guy, sitting in front multiple monitors, hoping to get through the day. Don’t miss his views from the cube at The Cubicle Views.

Submommy

Karen (@Submommy), a native of Portland, Oregon who isn’t actually a hippie, raises a nearly-ten year old girl (Girl Child) and a five year old boy (Boy Child) by day and actually gets to sleep at night. (It Gets Better, friends.) Hurtling headlong into middle age and standing at the base of Tween Mountain, she writes to keep her sanity and prevent the crazy from spilling over onto her beloved and patient husband, SubHub. She’s wiping butts and taking names over at her personal blog, Random Thoughts From A Suburban Mom. And no, she doesn’t drive a minivan.

Marianna Annadanna

Marianna Annadanna (@SnappySurprise) lives in the Great White North…Eh?…and is in her mid-twenties but continually refuses to define the point at which her mid-twenties becomes her late-twenties. Marianna doesn’t have children in the traditional sense of the word but as far as she can tell, her cats count. Based on the amount of work she does keeping track of him, her husband counts too. The “Boss Lady” thinks Marianna is awesome with a side of awesome sauce. Marianna’s personal blog: Snappy Surprise.

Tricia

Corporate writer by day, mommy blogger by night, Tricia (@tcstream) is raising twin toddlers – Search and Destroy. Instead of having one baby after 9 months, she had two after 6; she’s efficient like that. Tricia is a hybrid – running on coffee and chocolate. As far as the “Boss Lady” is concerned, she has the greatest profile picture ever. Tricia’s personal blog: Stream Of The Conscious.

Wendy

Wendy (@wtg22) is a writing and editing guru, virtuoso, or Jedi master, take your pick. By day, she’s an editor at an educational publishing company, helping to mold young minds. By night, she’s Wondermom, caring for her baby son, but in a way less revealing superhero costume. She’s got a pretty awesome sidekick—her husband extraordinaire. You can also find her tossing her opinion around on The What Blog.
